    Out of curiosity I've just checked the ticket prices.
    It's £170 to sit in the top tier (which I've done before and wouldn't again) and £212 at the back of the lower tier (where the view is crap). If you want to sit up front near the stage it'll cost you over £900. I think I'll pass...

    and to the Phil Collins detractors, I can only relate my experience of having witnessed an absolutely spellbinding performance by the Phil Collins Big Band a few years back at the Montreux Jazz Festival.

    The band were so tight and Collins' rimshots echoed around the venue like artillery fire.

    He reduced that stage in Montreux to a pile of smouldering embers that night. It really was quite extraordinary.
