You are starting a lot of threads lately. Been laid-off? Did boyfriend dump you? Prison?

Given the circumstances, using the first people he could get hold of for PPE deals was most sensible thing to do.

It's been a while since we've had a 'not in the public's interest' reason for dropping an investigation into dodgy people. Maybe we'll get two in the next year for Trump and Bozo.
For sure neither will be doing any jail time. Worst case, they delay/drag out any legalities until the perp is in the ground. See also the case against Prince Andrew...
Jail is for the plebs.

Similar can be said about UK prime ministers. Nobody will take BJ to court for paying his chums millions for brokering PPE deals.
Boris is a fool and a charlatan, but he isn't going to court any time soon.

It's a good way of doing it - covers everything and avoids putting any juicy details, however we'll see if Pence dares to also pardon anything Trump did BEFORE getting elected, seems very likely since Trump got lots of exposure and Pence's career will be in the toilet anyway, so why not.
Would be funny if Pence refuses to pardon him, so Trump would have to pardon himself, I'll lose 250 quid but it will be by far the most enjoyable outcome since there is no way such self-pardon (for him and his family) will stand even in fixed US Supreme CourtLast edited by AtW; 22 November 2020, 11:25.
