Before online shopping really kicked off Croydon was the place where you could easily get work clothes from chain fashion retailers as Croydon residents have a unique sense of style.

The easiest way to deal with this is to stop going on the Daily Mail website.

I would disagree about the integration. There have been news stories over the past few years of "immigrants" being beaten up in Croydon by groups of people. The groups are frequently multi-cultural.

nah racism is rife in the UK

A stopped clock and all that.
I went to school with someone whose immigrant parents moved to the UK from France because they had more job opportunities in the UK as they found less racism. Funny thing they were highly skilled and worked in a profession that had a well-known problem with racism at the end of the last century. I've now met and worked with quite a few other non-white French people who have said they have experienced less racism here.

These are the symptoms. Perhaps sorting out the problem that caused the refugees in the first place would be helpful. Unfortunately the elite and their arms-manufacturing chums have no interest in that because it's not profitable.

It was funny when there was all that fuss about Muslim face covering being banned in French schools, while at exactly the same time, it was banned in Turkish schools.
However, my family have encountered more casual racism over on continental Europe than we ever did in the UK. But some Swiss are xenophobic toward you if you live in a different village!
We've not experienced any hostility due to covid-19, and my sister-in-law in the UK has.
