The gambling commission have some pretty clear guidance on this which is generally about making it hard enough to out a good number of people off and excluding them from winning then they do enter. They state crosswords and spot the ball as skill based. They state catagorically that a general knowledge question or something that can be found in Google won't do.
    All the competitions on this site fail this test so cant be deemed anything but an illegal lottery. They don't have a free entry route either so they are slam dunk caught.

    Just a matter of time before someone loses some money, a complaint goes in and it gets shut down with a flurry of media around it.
