We sure this isnt a troll? Seriously moaning because the permies get something hes not. He even admits he can't access the secure area from home that the permies aint working on.

Its a hard life. Sometimes permie team leaders are like this. Mine is - he got this idea in his head that permies could work from home but me, as a contractor could not. Its bollacks really but, at the end of the day when I signed up WFH was never on the table so I can't "expect it". Do I moan about? Of course I do. Do they get favours from me any more - do they ****... But end of the day, its easy public sector gig and rate is decent.

I'll just hang on until this guy gets promoted and an easy gig may turn into a piss easy gig if next team leader allows it ;-)

Point being OP - suck it up or leave.

They say that with every tube strike. Overall office is far more productive for the team(not necessarily the case for individuals).

Strikes me that for decades there has always been talk of much of the office based workforce working from home as technology improves etc etc but it has never really taken off. Perhaps culture will change and this may kick start with coronavirus?
