    Yes, in the 1200s a squirrel could have tree-hopped from the Atlantic coast of France, from Brest say, all the way to Poland and beyond without touching the ground.

    Oh I have, the trick is to go towards Hull, but get off before you get there. Nice empty carriages. I did it for three weeks whilst recovering from an op, just a few weeks ago. Mind you pulling into Leeds at 16:37 and seeing the despair of the endless throng about to board was haunting.
