But yeah OP, if there are kids first and foremost put there needs first. If it goes to court that is what the judge will do. In terms of asset split, depends on length of marriage, is your wife able to survive on her own etc.

Don't go anywhere near them unless you want to join in the spite. I've been through this 20 years ago. The laws are not anti-men but pro-children. Do what you can to get a clean break even if it means giving up > 50%. You can make it up later in life. If you have children, do the right thing and just accept that supporting the children inevitably means supporting the parent with care. A happy parent helps produce a happy kid(s).
