Speak to someone first, try to resolve it, then maybe mention the Late Payments Act (get your facts straight first). Tell them you'll be charging them interest if they don't pay up within the terms on your contract:

Why haven't you picked up the phone and spoken to someone? That's the first thing you do if they don't respond to emails.

Find the name of the director and arrange a meeting to discuss this (by phone). If that doesn't work go to their office.

You'll most likely be in breach of contract, instant termination, no chance of payments.
Also, if the agent is short of cash then telling someone not to pay them will not help them get cash.

1. Check the payment terms in your contract
2. Credit check the agency
3. Consider getting debt collectors in (Safe Collections post on here and seem to get good reviews)

I have been working for an agency for sometime and usually the payment is more or less on time. However the previous last payment was a couple of weeks late. The current payment is a month overdue (paid monthly) and they finally paid but only 3/4 of the money. They say it was a mistake and the rest will follow shortly.
