I hear the RFU are looking to appoint Arsene Wenger as coach for the next six nations, at least 4th is one better than 5th

Clubs/associations have to get the next generation of players from somewhere and they are well aware while some state school kids may like football and athletics as that's all they have been offered so far, if they interest them in rugby, rowing or tennis* and make it accessible they could get new players some of whom may actually be very good.
Though with contact sports nutters like this don't help - https://www.theguardian.com/sport/20...sk-say-experts
*Just the random sports clubs/associations I know who have done such work in state schools at primary and secondary levels. Tennis targets primary, rowing targets secondary while rugby clubs target both.

And, just for perspective I'm a Welshman who played first 15 rugby and have close links to New Zealand
So well done on demonstrating both ignorance and intolerance n a three line post.

So perhaps the number of players at junior level is rather more significant than total population.
So who's looking tulipe now, I wonder...

You won a world cup yet?
Funnily enough New Zealand have and they have similar populations to the Welsh and Scotland...
So that makes you really tulipe.

Shows Scotland can raise their game alot.
Shows England have a lot more work to do if they want to get anywhere near a WC final.

Have a read of this one from 2012. 5 years ago now but the numbers wont have changed that much.

By some measures the Welsh make you look even worse.

I do laugh how in these rugby tournaments they give out a trophy for winning the one match. Maybe they should do that in the football World Cup. Best chance of England getting any silverware. "50 years of hurt never stopped the dreaming"
