Irma - Watch

Winds are around 70mph now, but in an hour they'll be up to full hurricane 140mph.

In the US Hurricane landfalls are like buses
Harvey, Irma and maybe Jose barelling in catastrophically. Gaia seemingly displeased at the people's choice of an apostate president. Let us hope Irma tracks away from the Florida coast, if not let us hope the flood insurance at Mar-a-Lago is paid up.
Some climate pseudosceptics coin the phrase CAGW, meaining Catastrophic Anthropogenic Global Warming, aiming to frame the debate and force a value judgement (what is catastrophic anyway?).
Well, maybe, just maybe what happened in Houston, what is happening in the Caribbean, not to mention ('cos we don't) the millions affected by monsoon flooding in Asia, 1,200 killed and one third of Bangladesh submerged, maybe this is what catastrophic looks like?Tags: None
