In the current climate jumping a red light and not stopping when the police tell you to is going to get a very aggressive response.
And so is really not a clever idea.
Ultimately even if the car was not filled with explosives/terrorists etc you can be pretty sure it was not being driven by someone with a clear rap sheet.
