Just wondering why the time range is so wide. Kind of implies that she's in a bad way and unable to communicate with plod.

Don't surprise me.

When a person is in shock, it's common to lose the time, 1 minute could appear 15 minutes for the victim and we don't know what time was the 2nd attack.

My question is where is her friend?

There is something which does not add up - first few paragraphs

"A double manhunt has been launched after a 15-year-old girl was raped by two different men in the same day.
The teen was first assaulted in a secluded part of Witton railway station, in Birmingham, between 7pm on Tuesday and 2am the following morning.
She had walked to the station with her friend, but was led away by a man who approached her."

That sentence implies she went willingly with the man - why? why not just get onto the train with her friend.

Whilst not in anyway implying she deserved it it just seems very strange.

Witton / Aston is a bit of a hole my guess is she was tempted with the offer of drink/drugs, then raped, would explain the wide window between 1st and 2nd attack, she was probably out of it during the 1st attack and came to hours later only to be attacked again

Not sure that's valid. It's equally possible those attacks were prolonged and it take time to escape / be dumped....
