...I'd just like to point out that I do not supply the majority of agents with hookers.

jobserve is a waste of space.

I keep my LinkedIn tag line updated with my availability. Recently changed it to "immediate" and had two offers within a week. Both people I've worked with before. Both CBA to interview me, just want me to start once all the faff has been dealt with.

I think that comes about by (a) good personal hygiene, (b) being good at what I do, (c) not being a total tw*t

In the perm world you would indeed be correct, however there are a few agencies that have treated me, as a contractor, to a good night out.

Good agents that have also helped me make very good money, in the past, so all good there.

The problem with a money offer, especially as high as £500, is their company ethics policy won't let them accept it without reporting it. Hence they won't be allowed accept the money, but a few beers would not need to be reported

Anyway, as I said, I dropped the idea very quickly. It seems most agents are more moral than I thought.

Maybe he has never done much time in the city?

Where giving someone a little, medium, or large drink is all part of oiling the wheels.

Suggesting otherwise is an insult to the historical way of carrying out business up in town.

Cash is in king in that scenario, of course
