Having to pay extra will hurt less than having to apply to travel. That will create a lot of hassle, especially for business people who travel often.Originally posted by DaveB View Posthttps://www.thesun.co.uk/news/175933...the-continent/
So now all the numpty's who clamored for us to leave and get rid of visa free freedom of movement have realized that it works both ways. What did they think was going to happen?

I'm glad you think it's literary. Not quite sure why you think it's poo though.Originally posted by NigelJK View PostMust remember not to bother reading any of the press from now on, not that I did much before. What a pile of literary poo.
But never mind, it's becoming apparent that many Brexiter snowflakes have to hide in their safe space, where any facts that impinge on their fantasy are kept at bay.

And Ireland. Though Ireland might join Schengen once the border with the UK is reestablished.Originally posted by Dylan View Post"If this scheme were to become legislation it would apply to all visitors to the 26-nation Schengen zone"
So this would apply to us even if we weren't leaving as we aren't in Schengen?
Anyway British holidayers are already paying a much bigger fee to travel anywhere else thanks to the self inflicted fall of the pound.

Well if the UK were to have remained in the EU obviously they would have had the opportunity to throw in their veto. I think it would have been unlikely.Originally posted by Dylan View Post"If this scheme were to become legislation it would apply to all visitors to the 26-nation Schengen zone"

However since the UK is leaving it's a no brainer to raise money. If you're not at the table, you're on the menu.

quote in the Guardian
'Let's face it, it would be exceptionally funny if the chinless mediocrities in the Conservative and Unionist Party continued to pursue policies so stupid that it broke off Northern Ireland, Scotland and Gibraltar from the union, leaving Wales as a testicle-free rumpstate attached to an England full of piss, vinegar and more piss that insists on telling everybody to **** off as it punches itself in the face over and over again.
It probably won't happen, but it would be funny.'
