Would the obvious solution here for women not just be to buy men's razors instead?
I mean the only real difference is that the plastic is not quite so gaudy a shade of pink.

Totally agree. If a woman is dumb enough to think that the pink razor is specially designed for her particular delicate needs, then she's a sale person's wet dream and an idiot. Any razor does the trick; it just has to be sharp. Most shaving issues are because people don't change blades often enough.
