The OP issue is a non issue for me (male golf club) hosting open.

As for F1 in places like Bahrain. The more we see and talk about the oppression, the better.

FWIW I think Trump wanting dialog with North Korea is a good thing.

The point is lots of sports take place at locations where there are issues. Repression, gender discrimination, racism. But the locations are great and the sport is awesome. A male only club hosting an open event doesn't really get my PC sabre rattling.
