Their last company supplies trucks to ISIS. (I don't think I need to put "allegedly" in there, do I?)
The person in question talks about how well she knows SAP from her 3 years of working for them, compared with the 8 years she has been here. Her role appears to be asking for the most obscurely linked data ever, which she then does nothing with apart from filling up disk space.

It seems to be quite recent. Thus far only from Yanks.
Dunno why but it reminds me of 1970s preachers in the Billy Graham mould.
It's not just a reminder that they want to suck me in to their product or way of thinking, but that a collection plate will be winging its way towards me sooner or later.

The words 'piece' and 'space' used in any consultancy-like fashion
e.g. "Lets support the documentation piece" and "We work in the XYZ space"
SPEAK NORMALLY

Always best done over a poor conference connection with half a dozen thick foreign accents where each nationality switches to their native language at full speed occasionally.

Set of cards numbered 1 to 10, everyone has a set, there is a brief (and I do mean brief) overview of each task, then everyone gets to guesstimate via their cards as to how long they think the task will take...
Ridiculous. Many times I refused to vote since there wasn't enough detail in the overview.
First time I saw this I nearly fell off my chair laughing.. Software engineering goes to kindergarten.Last edited by Dark Black; 12 October 2015, 17:28.
