Wife does it all the time when she throws her phone into her handbag after making a call - she doesn't lock it, just waits for it to time out. So, into the handbag, and if the screen gets hit a couple of times in a few seconds then the call is made.

Every year the OED gets some free publicity by adding a few "words" to their list and (presumably) issuing a press release. They never mention the ones they take out, for some reason, even on their website. Do they see removals as a failure? How many of these removals include that word that was trendy in the playground last September but never heard of after last Christmas?
Bah humbug.
