Yes, since it was launched and up until Saturday - it's been FREE with BT Broadband - but only for watching on a computer/tablet/phone, not watching on TV.

Cheers for tip! #1 son living at home did watch Liverpool games but having just ditched Sky, looks like we can't get BT sport any more.

PS Actually seems he could watch it online on the TV.

Yup. We don't have many options where we live - no Virgin and we don't want Sky.
5 years ago we had 256k broadband, Infinity arrived in the village 2 years ago and now get 14Mb. Would prefer to stick with a BT owned company since it's one of their subsidiaries who maintains the lines. They can't fob you off as easily.

BTW, did you know that in the 1940s -1970s the GPO used aluminium for cables in some places? (follow up question: do you know what one of the worst data conductors is?)

I wouldn't do that unless they offer a good discount. There are numerous free and cashback offers at the moment.

Reminder: Don't forget to downgrade your free BT sports

From Aug 1, they are going to charge £5 for all the people currently using the free BT sports app. By default, all the buggers are opted in and you need to downgrade if you don't care about football.

To downgrade,

1. Login to My BT
2. Expand My Products and BT sport
3. Click 'Get the best deal for BT Sport'
4. At the bottom of the page click Downgrade now button in pink
5. Place order, accept terms, confirm order etc
