Really? I get as many as 80 if I feel like it. Are you sure you're cut out for this contracting lark?Originally posted by VectraMan View PostYou get 2x10 minutes break per day, but can play X-Box and mini golf during working hours? Bizarre.
I only get 20 days holiday per year.

20 days plus the eight bank holidays obviously. Duh!Originally posted by EAFS View PostMost workers who work a 5-day week must receive 28 days’ paid annual leave per year. This is calculated by multiplying a normal week (5 days) by the annual entitlement of 5.6 weeks.
Probably comes from working for an American company.

To be fair it was only a service analysts job so only 22K but I blanked it out so not to get bogged down on that bit. It was the beer and wine I thought was the interesting bit.

In all seriousness - little things like free food and organised drinks on a Friday go a LONG way to helping team morale/wellbeing and eventually productivity.
Say what you like about the contractor lifestyle, it has its pros but it doesn't half feel rather without purpose or belonging at times. Sometimes "Well you could buy those things yourself!" somewhat misses the point.Last edited by PerfectStorm; 10 November 2014, 14:46.
