Simply googling for information can trigger similar silliness - days after I'd actually found what I wanted, I kept get ads on the same subject.

Too late, guys. The boat sailed.

    That will really boost sales
Slightly related... missus was offered a job at a company. Googled them and went to their site for a look around to find out about them. Didn't enter any details.

Next day, I get an email from them informing me about their products! Might be paranoid but this isn't a company that would email me. So how did they know who to email.

I googled to find if there was a database that linked IP to email but nothing obvious.

They know that the way they screw down the manufacturers on prices, those manufacturers only send them the stuff from the tat bin.

Ebay are targeting me with ads for things that I have sold. No, I am not interesting in buying them.
