    This list has worked for me in the past

    Anything that will make you think before you blow money is good in my book.

    Classic. Copying and pasting that list called 'business plan' & trying to keep a straight face that it's actually a useful list for someone looking to start a business is either a massive windup or you have no idea how to define a business plan.

    Better still just advertise as if you were already in business and if you get a big response go out and buy the stuff there and then, if that's not possible just tell them sorry it's already hired out.

    What I wouldn't do is go out and buy whole lot of "equipment" that clutters up the house, and no-one wants to hire, which is probably the most likely outcome.

    Well if the capital outlay isn't large I say write out a business plan and give it a go.

    Brilliant plan but a slight flaw
    rd409 = £10 (but quality) ... NLUK = free (but talks bollox)
    You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to northernladuk again.

    Sorry NLUK, but will try again.

    If I charge say a tenner a post, how long before I can quit my daily routine and take over NLUK full time on this board?

    Well yes of course it does. As Northenlad says. It may well be an item thats quite common and you were incapable of finding / or per your second point parents don't want them but you do. And to that point, no parents won't pay anything.

    Kid Clamping and towing away lmao. Parents might pay you to clamp them but I'm not sure about them actually wanting to release them, let alone pay a fee!!

    Indeed but I am a pesimist here. If it is that easy everyone will be doing it. Love to be proved wrong and it works for you but it's not for me. I am busy designing a set of plastic luggage for kids that look cute and they can be pulled along on when they don't want to walk........

He got a regulation one and then some kid fell off and hurt themselves. He got caught up in a wrangle over responsibility, was it the parents responsibility or his. As it was all done cash in hand he was up against the wall. Nothing more then a bruise and it got dropped but scared him so much he gave up totally.

    Not all quick schemes are good ones IMO.

    If something is as easy as you say I am sure many people will have tried it. Mainly poor people though, I wouldn't waste my evening or weekend for £150 a time.
