    Dealings with Bramlove

I can sort of vouch for Bramlove. Had a telephone interview with them with a large defence company in Crawley, unfortunately the client pulled the role after the interview.

I do have a friend that got a gig a through them to the same client.

    2. Part of a rebranding exercise. You can see if a name sticks before you officially change it at Companies House.

In the case of recruitment agencies it seems to be a way of separating the sectors they recruit in i.e. if they recruit in different sectors giving each business unit a separate name. At some point if the unit gets big enough it can be spun off as another company.
Thank you SueEllen. This is a subject that I know nothing about and don't mind admitting it.

I've learned quite a bit about the business side to contracting from this forum, and because I'm an IT contractor who is still relatively new in the business world, am only too aware that there's still lots to learn.

So I make apology for not knowing everything, but am thankful for those who don't mind passing off their wisdom to me, and everyone else!

I was going to leave it at my previous post which is still the best advice so far but couldn't resist. Despite the OP's woeful use of google let me ask you this....

Pinkposhrat.. Have you ever had a night out in Tiger Tiger? The popular chain in most large cities?

Have a quick look at their CH entry and you find..

    Company Name: TIGER TIGER LIMITED

    Company Type:
    Limited Company

    Company No:
    03467860

    Company Address:
    TIGER TIGER LIMITED
C/O NOVUS LEISURE LTD100 LUDGATE HILL
    LONDON
    W1D 7ER

    Date:
    09/06/2011

Novus Leisure are the largest private bar and club operator in the UK (as they say on their webpage)

I hardly think they are going out of their way to be deceptive.

You could of course just googles 'Trading as' and read up on it

You can register your company as one name but trade under a different name as long as you indicate they are linked on paperwork which some companies don't do.

Judging by the OPs investigative nature and attention to detail even if he/she gets an interview they've got bugger all chance of getting an offer.

Agent has just sent me a screen shot, which only confirms that the agency is "c/o" another legal company.

Where would I stand 'if' I was to take up a contract with a company not registered, but with a "c/o" another company?

I would have thought BAe Systems would only have used PSL agencies. Might be worth calling some of the more decent agencies who you know to deal with BAe and asking them if they know of that role there? If yes, ask them to submit you for it.
