Calculator from outside (2 people 50/50) to inside

I figured out a relatively simple way: s660 calculator -> take home -> fiddle with rate in in/out calculator to get the same take home figure.

This is just for a quick estimate, agree excel would give a more precise figure for personal circumstances.

Realised will not be in the strongest position competing with solo contractors considering inside, quite a difference ..

AS long as you factor in all the expenses you won't be able to claim if you are inside...

This question has got whiskers on it it's so old. Work it the other way: based on lots of earlier answers and some detailed digging, inside you retain about 50% of the day rate (maybe a little less come April), outside you retain about 70%.

IMV best calculator is Excel + HMRC tax (NI/Income) rates/bands/allowances. not a rocket science.
For simplicity leaving VAT as nil difference - another factor to consider is CT component in a chain to Net personal income for Outside scenario (while possibly losing advantages of passing some costs on Ltd).

Too many variables.

You say 2x personal allowances, but you don't say how much you put towards a pension, how much you pay out in dividends, what other things you put through your company (cars, phones, etc) in your current model.

Given the state of the market, the better question to ask yourself might be: "If I am offered a contract of £x per day inside, what is my take home after tax, and is that a level I am happy with. As a side thought, you then might want to consider that the other person currently drawing a salary from your company could also go and get a job working the same number of hours they claim to work for you today.

The break even point is typically ~20-25% added to outside rate for a comparative inside take home for one person. You'd have to use that as a yardstick but there are lots of calculators out there like NL says albeit just for individuals.

The umbrella I use (Clarity) often post in the specific Umbrella forum so maybe best asked there, they might give a more informed view.

There have been endless questions about inside to outside calculators and none of them are accurate enough to give you more than an idea so I'd say there is no chance of finding one for anything more complex that one person straight swap.
