They had me (unnecessarily according to HMRC) on a week 1 tax code for approx 13 weeks, never did a thing to resolve the matter, it was me who had to make the endless phone calls to HMRC, bit alarming earning £4800 in a month and getting paid £2338, and shortly afterwards £1500 in a single week and only netting £750, had just the one single call from OG when trying to resolve the matter.
After opting out of the worst rated pension scheme (according to FT), previously deducted pensions refunded, yet the payslip makes little sense.
Even now, my weekly pay appears to drop whenever I submit "chargeable expenses", don't understand why I receive a tax rebate on each chargeable expense payslip, which is a separate payslip from my weekly earnings. Usually Net Expected Pay + Chargeable Expense, doesn't equal Usually Net Expected Pay + Value of Chargeable Expense, if you get my drift.
I pour over the payslips, one for expenses, one for earnings, scratching my head how and why have they done what they have and come away with the impression there is clever accounting taking place, not necessarily in my favour.
I consider OG the new Parasol, simply baffle them figures and lingo. Call them up and it's like listening to a script which has you finally agreeing and non the wiser after you have hung up.

Can I just say multiple Orange Genie payroll and payment summaries don't seem to add up (and that comes from 3 different sources).Last edited by eek; 6 December 2021, 10:22.

I've always recommended Orange Genie, not sure why but they have gone right down hill, would suggest contractors given them a wide berth.

Do a search on each of the brolly names to look for feedback and you'll also find the posts where this type of thing has been discussed over the last year.
You've been around here long enough, you should know this type of stuff has been covered so start doing a bit of searching and start putting a bit of effort in to posting in the right part of the forum.
Do your best to push for Clarity Umbrella though. They are FCSA approved so should no reason they can't use them.
To be fair though, I though JSA would have been a dream for you. You could still spout off about being on JSA endlessly

Nor Advance (for different reasons I again can't publish)
As I said in my previous post as that's an FCSA list, ask if your "existing" umbrella (Clarity) can be used then get Lucy to sort it out

You then have two "regulators" who are neither regulators nor actually that competent.
So who is the agency and what umbrellas are they offering. If they are using FCSA ones than give Clarity a call and see what Lucy can do.
