Contract in Netherlands via French Agency

So I have been offered a 6 months contract in The Hague via French agency global.fr. After talking to the agency they say its possible to bill via my Ltd company. Reading through the Netherlands threads makes me nervous but adding the French to the mix makes me uncomfortable? any suggestions

This is typically a non UK agency who doesn't understand Dutch chain law.Ask them if they don't mind paying your tax and fines when you disappear. You can only work in the Netherlands via a locally registered company.

I would be enquiring about a payroll / PAYE type of arrangement where you don't have liability for tax falling on you.

Expat forums are better source of info on working abroad.

Id rather go perm than get involved in the abroad gigs. But specialist advice best not random forum posters as others suggest. Dont like the sound of the below for example...

Speak to a specialist in international employment laws rather than trust some randomers on the Internet and end up in trouble.

So what is the best way forward with this arrangement please? after talking to the agency they say you register as self employed in france but really ill be working and living in The Hague and in reality wouldn't be visiting france other than Disneyland it looks sketchy to me and the take home retention in both Netherlands and France compared to the UK is 10-15% difference it really makes this venture all the less tempting, and the added complexity of being jailed with "bubba" rings alarm bells

If Dutch HMRC stop you at the airport as flagged as being there all week, for several in a row, just say your agent and BR14 said it was fine and off you go
