Just to update on the outcome of this, I am still in contract as a first off and sigh if relief.

I decided to summarise the sequence of events that had led to where I ended up and discussed with my team lead / senior stakeholder. They saw where I was coming from (to a point), and in short, asked me to put together a corrrective plan of action.

So normal service resumed. Thanks for all comments.

    So OP define cock-up?

    1. Did something accidentally (i.e. logged onto wrong server and did something)?
    or
    2. Thought **** it and deliberately couldn't be arsed to do something properly which then went tits up?

You're in no position to give lectures on "dignity".

Bunch of snowflakes. Now, if you were MF, it would've been a different matter - transporting that fatberg involves some serious reward points.
