CAPCO - Anyone worked here?

I have worked with them at banks - I kept in touch with a few of them - I cant compare them to others but the info I got was they were paid on time and correctly a reasonable wage

However when the project changed these capco guys were on the bench for a month and then booted out - There were not many new clients they could move to with Capco

Is there anyone in this world that you haven't worked with?

Not sure if Konsultant is speaking from experience but I would be dubious.

I have worked there, worked with Capco consultants on a client site and have got previous colleagues who are now in Capco. There is no difference between Capco and any other IT consultancy like Acc or CapG. You go to client site and work on a chargeable day rate. They have a presence in every big bank so it opens doors to Barclays, HSBC and RBS etc. Attrition rate is not high at least compared to similar companies in the consulting space and the culture also is nothing to speak about. Every body is onsite and so really, what culture can you expect ?

So PAYE contract is now the new term for perm salaried employees ?

Nope it's another way of saying Fixed Term Contract where the person is an employee of the company for the fixed term specified in the contract.

Decent rate, 100% remote.

Yes I do know them well - They have big european and german operations - Not so sure about the UK presence

They are body shop like others - Buy you at X sell you at Y - When client finishes you will be fired - Overall not bad

I worked for them as a contractor for a 6 month stint at an IB. The main difference between that and a regular gig is that I was representing their company at all times, so being at work on time and not being seen as slacking off at any point was high on the agenda. You might also have one of their own project managers breathing down your neck daily - this is something that particularly annoyed me because three months in to the contract he was still hanging around 8 hours a day and was being an a** to everyone (and it was just three of us doing the work). I expect the incentive for them is that they get to keep charging for an idle PM that remains on site.

You'll also need to be comfortable with the fact that whatever your daily rate is, the client is probably paying double that to Capco.

I wouldn't suggest that you not work for them though. If you're happy with what they offer you and you don't have anything else on the cards, take it.

Hi,
I’m hoping to hear from someone who worked (or knows ppl who worked) for CAPCO in London. I have an interview scheduled for next week. What’s the culture like here? They have a lot of clients in Canary Wharf - do the teams follow client’s work culture or do they make their own rules? Staying late - is this a norm or an exception?
