Take the extension, maintain the relationship. Could get another six weeks or more in July, no matter how slim. Slim is better than none.

It you like the work, extend. If you don't like the work, leave. I would not base the decision on whether people you don't know in companies you aren't clear about might be taking holiday or not.Originally posted by Ltd ability View PostWhat would you do? You don't have any other offer in hand and you have doubts about your extension. Are you kidding!Originally posted by Ltd ability View Postmy current contract ends just before Easter and I've been offered an extension that finished just before the summer holidays, so both end around the time hiring managers (or folk needed to sign off contracts) disappear on holidays.

Take the extension unless the work is going to start getting boring.

Really???? Given the number of contractors RBS have kicked out what I'm hearing on the grapevine is very different...Originally posted by Ltd ability View PostWhat sort of info would help? it's a BA gig - my background is banking but this isn't a banking role. Hmm.. I hoped it was better than that. A decision that is based on client managers being on holiday and clients having new budgets then want to spend is beyond flawed.Originally posted by WTFH View PostWhat he appears to be saying is "should I turn down work now in the hope of getting other work, or take work being offered and see what happens at the end of it?"

You needs to give us a bit more information before we can inform you. Based on my current circumstances I would renew.Originally posted by Ltd ability View Postmy current contract ends just before Easter and I've been offered an extension that finished just before the summer holidays, so both end around the time hiring managers (or folk needed to sign off contracts) disappear on holidays.

Slim chance of an additional extension, if there was one it'd bring me up to September i'd say
