I think that this was the last post that was useful.

So now I'm pulling this thread (and a troll trying to resurrect this thread will get pulled as well).

On the contrary, I'm currently thinking of relocating to where I'm statistically more likely to find contracts.

I've done the maths and that place to move closer to is London.

The operative word here is "look". Otherwise expect abuse when you ask vague questions you should answer yourself.

Can you guys give me any idea where most IT contracting jobs are in London? I'm currently paying £850 a month to share in Ealing Broadway, in a very nice 2-bedroom flat, but thinking about getting a studio in Shepherds Bush. I know as a contractor I'd have to accept more commute time, but knowing where most opportunities are would help me deciding where to live after my current contract expires. I've already heard from other people living in my flat that they pay £300 monthly more.

I hear Peckham is the new City, lots of banks and telcos will be moving there early next year.

They're reluctant to cut off what may be one of the few genuine new posters on CUK, apparently it's a little tricky to spot the glaringly obvious sockpuppets even when the modus operandi is well known.

There are reasons that so few new and existing real posters come on CUK and one of those is the overwhelming noise of the sockpuppet legions.
