The world outside the EU is really exciting, the UK can no go loggerheads and squabble with hundreds of other countries.

    In further news:

US threatens to block UK from global procurement pact

The U.S. is threatening to block the U.K. from a 46-nation public procurement agreement, a move that would deny British companies from accessing a near $2 trillion marketplace after leaving the European Union, according to two officials with knowledge of the situation.

The U.K. will apply to rejoin the Government Procurement Agreement, a $1.7 trillion trade accord that governs global appropriation rules, since it will lose its membership after Brexit in March. U.S. negotiators have told their British counterparts that their application is outdated and needs to be revised, said the officials, who asked not to be identified because talks are ongoing.
The US-SSR is going to extract its pound of flesh as Britain ends up on the naughty step.

This October furlough (not Christmas) is (they claim) due to the drop in sales in China (down 46%). They have moved close to 2,000 workers onto a 3 day week.

They are also moving 100% of Discovery production to Slovakia.
They currently have the i-pace (electric), which is manufactured by Magna-Steyr in Austria.
They don't produce electric cars in the UK.
They have committed to only produce electric or hybrid cars by 2020.

The Government is pursuing an alignment with the EU (Chequers). Canada++ is not getting sufficient traction. Chequers can only go more BRINO as the negotiations go on. The EU has all the cards. In addition to that, the liklihood of a second referendum has been rising noticeably. A second referendum is most likely to be marginally Remain. True Brexiteers will remain faithful to the cause but enough ordinary people will have been disappointed by all the revelations of false promises, outright lies, woeful mismanagement of the negotiations, and the nasty complications nobody warned them about.

What do you mean by "(And may well not do)"?

It's going to happen, a referendum has been held, the result is being acted upon!

    So mote it be!

Might have been the mini plant in Oxford, who have also announced to close for several weeks after brexit:

    ^This

The bottom has fallen out of the carcinogenic puffing Chelsea tractors and big saloon cars.

To fit in with the hip and trendy up market types, you need to be seen in an upmarket hybrid or EV.

But if it fits your frankly laughable Brexit doom rhetoric, then so be it...
