Ha, just found this.
Took me over one month to get back into Internet Banking. Problem was (ignoring the fact they disabled my account when I tried to loginto the new inteface the first time) getting my new passcodes to me.
They sent them to an address I lived at five years ago. A bank sending security related information to an address that has nothing to do with my company AT ALL. When I found this out, their response was that I had to go into a branch and prove I had a new address. And they told me that all debit cards had been sent to this old address too, which was strange as I had to give her my CV2 on the back of the corporate debit card before she would talk to me about her employers incompetance.
How did I get the debit card, I asked, if it was sent to an address I hadn't lived at for five years? She couldn't explain that one. I could, they have rubbish systems.
Complete incompetent rubbish bank.
They lost my personal account last month due to not being able to send me a debit card for 6 weeks. Company account will be changing at end of this contract, don't trust the scum job agency agent to process the new account details mid contact.

Nope, as far as I can see it works fine. It even works in the latest Firefox version after warning you "the browser is not supported" then carrying on. Apart from the first 2 weeks when I was locked out, it seems to be a much better system now than it was before.Originally posted by kaiser78 View PostI'm still having problems with my Business Banking and Reserve Accounts. Any other option like actually making a payment I am told do not have authority to perform this.
Anyone else in the same boat still ?

You need to make sure that they have linked the account to your debit card, which gives you the authorization to do it. Give them a ring and they should do it for you.Originally posted by kaiser78 View PostI'm still having problems with my Business Banking and Reserve Accounts. I've no problem with the underlying banking system being down for a couple of hours at a time - that's only to be expected. What I don't expect is to see messages such as "error code: 0" in a customer-facing web application, especially one concerned with the movement of money. It shows a lack of attention during implementation and testing, and hints at the possibility of more severe defects elsewhere.Originally posted by d000hg View PostIt's not a banking system. It's a fairly mundane web application which interacts with banking systems. I'm sure online banking from most banks have errors sometimes of this type where it is down for the odd few hours sometimes.
To reiterate: online banking is only very loosely linked to your actual bank account.
I'll be sure to remind of your words next time I attempt to pay a £30 invoice with the online banking, and fall victim to a bug that instead decides to request the transfer of £3000 from the banking system.

This kind of thing really shouldn't happen on a banking system.

Hmmm, not good that. I agree, that's p1ss poor really. You'd think a banking system would be rock solid. You'd hope so anyway.Originally posted by chicane View PostBack on topic - just logged into Abbey business banking, clicked to view the transactions on my business current account, with the following result:

Well, pish and tish. I just made the (hopefully not too stupid mistake) bold move of downloading IE 8 b2 and the update for that fix is a separate update. You'd have thought they'd integrate it into a nightly build or something.
I think I'll complain to my MP.

Dear xoggoth - Account security
I take your point xoggoth about Personal ID but why did they not say so in the first place. Would have saved lots of grief.Originally posted by xoggoth View PostHooray, it now works. Yes, is single personal ID for all accounts, even on different businesses, makes it easier to check things. Dunno why they didn't make that clearer in 1st place.
I am not sure I really want both business accounts accessible from one login. If your account gets hacked into in some way you loose your money from both companies. How good is that??
I am considering unlinking the 2 accounts but I am still waiting for a debit card and a second set of new Registration numbers and whatever the other one is called.
I have other on-line accounts where they ask you for character three, four and next to last rather that the whole shooting match.
Doesn't seem very secure to me.

You can view all your accounts but can only actually do anything on the one you entered the username for, that remains separate for each business.
