Interesting, so reading that it looks like it's valid for 6 months after a gig and can be transferred but anecdotal evidence tells that isn't always a given but it's an option.

It's the old thing about clearance labels being based on risk assessments. NPPV and SC are testing different risk profiles, there are several areas where they diverge in what you can access. So a police worker can have NPPV (like I did once as an interim departmental head) but require to be vetted for SC for certain operations, which I didn't then hold, which meant occasionally I had to hand over work to a subordinate who did.

Needs to be transferred from the other police force see https://www.gloucestershire.police.u...sked-questions
From memory it will very much depend on what your old force thinks of the new one and vice versa - police forces can be really anti their neighbours...

NPPV Clearance
So I see a couple of instrastructure gigs floating around at the moment needing SC and NPPV clearance. It appears both are mandatory for the gig and they won't put anyone through clearace. SC not a problem with people transfering from previous clients within the year but I though NPPV was one of those that went with the gig like DV but it appears not. People said SC goes with the role but it doesn't as it can be transfered for a good period of time after you left your last contract.
Has NPPV changed or was this expires with the gig not really a thing and it can indeed be transferred?Tags: None
