    Try Sage's price list...

The data capture requirements for accounts is really not difficult, I used to do the lot on a paper based system. Reporting on financial transactions is the hardest bit, but invoicing is a piece of piss and doesn't require software or an accountant. Nor does payroll. Though nowadays for the latter two, I use Excel. I use the same bookkeeping software as my accountant - he just does end of year accounts.

I can upgrade my accountancy software (an extra £12pm) to deal with this but was wondering if there are any free or cheaper alternatives first?

    Thanks
Sign up for a mettle business bank account (free) - the app includes the functionality to create invoices

    It’s disabled for everyone (kinda).
Stick it on another serve and link to it. I tended just to use a word doc.

How do you invoice the agency? It's no different than invoicing direct. I suspect you mean you have a self billing arrangement with the agency.

My accounts system generates invoices and can directly email them to the company if I want them to. I would expect any accounts package to have that function.

Before I moved to my current system, I used to create my invoices using an Excel template I created. One tab per invoice so all billing for the year was in one file with a summary sheet that aggregated the data.

If you don't know how to create an invoice, you should start here to make sure you know what's legally required:

Invoicing and taking payment from customers: Invoices - what they must include - GOV.UK

Does your accountant use Freeagent? If so they can be created in there.

Otherwise just use a word template

    invoice template - Google Search

If you've got word processing software, you can just create invoices in that, it's quick and easy, but not integrated into any accounting software.
