    I would not be contacting the hiring manager if there is an agent involved. It's bad etiquette to do that imo. You should contact the agent and see if they can get feedback. I always do this if it's a role I am really keen on....

    Same. No chance I would live in Dubai, with their ridiculous laws. Not only that, the place is very fake. Full of people trying to make a fast buck. Doesn't appeal to me whatsoever. If I was going to retire somewhere hot would choose somewhere like Thailand all day long....
