Your Russia points are good but we need to be able to look after ourselves in the new world Jungle full of forces that would relieve us of our protectorates and other interests. We also can't play if we don't have the muscle to survive. Living together peacefully isn't going to happen as history has... -

I'm retiring at 75 or when no one will pay for my software anymore, but the OAP is useful extra cash
75 because I'll probably need to take it easier with increasing decrepitude by then and you have to pull your private pensions then anyway at 75. Then it'll be a lock up and go and endless SAGA...
