A rather nihilistic thought I came up with for anyone who does public sector contracting - regardless of what happens in other industries, the government's willingness to spend money on absolute rubbish will ensure that at least some new roles will come out in April.

I'm really fearful at the moment. I don't know why, I've been doing this for 10 years and the trend has been that I've got more work than not - but I hate the feeling of not knowing what the next thing is or how long the gap is going to be....

I've started entertaining conversations with Indian recruitment call centres. That's how bad it's got.

I'm between gigs at the moment. Which is my own fault - I was being grouchy in the previous one and got let go. Lesson learnt.
At the moment I'm terrified though, I'm getting calls about £300 inside gigs and a whole lot of silence....
