That's good re the indemnity. It was one of the big issues I started to see post the private sector rollout with people asking for indemnities.
I do agree with other posts though regarding whether the approach originally highlighted is just a veneer and could be challenged by HMRC. It's...

I was being charitable when I said about the OP being comfortable with it. It really depends on your risk tolerance. The number of times I had people trying to sell me EBTs and indeed one outfit tried to mandate a particularly dodgy setup when I was in the running for a contract...Last edited by ShandyDrinker; 26 January 2026, 13:12.

Outside IR35 consultancy model - genuine or papering over cracks?
Been approached about a role through a consultancy that uses what they call an "associate model" to place contractors outside IR35. Wanted to get the forum's view on whether this passes the smell test.
How it works:- You contract with them, not the end client (they're the "hirer")
