I used to travel with one contract all over the world.
Towards the end I started to hate it.
One grey building/coms room after another.
Expenses were a problem but the dailly allowance went along way in some of the s__t holes I ended up. I did look at taking a contract in Azerbaijan. Glad I didn't as it was about the time the 4 telecoms engineers were found minus there heads. Good money but not that good.
Do remeber a story about one guy who had a contract for the Russian Milatary south of Moscow in the middle of nowhere, he picked up a couple of hookers in Moscow and paid them to live with him for the duration of the six month contract.Comment

I agree with the girlfriend thing, it's easy enough to meet women when you're on the road but hard to close the deal.
I've just met this stunner as well here in Brussels, if I tell her that I leave in 2 weeks I might not get any hole. what to do, what to do?
A previous girlfriend told me that I should just lie to them, any love rats here done that?Comment

When the time comes tell 'em the contract ended early or summat and you leave in 2 days time. Easy get out.
Mind you, if you reckon you're on a winner in less than two weeks then she probably wont mind anyway."Being nice costs nothing and sometimes gets you extra bacon" - Pondlife.Comment

If you are in Brussels and found a stunner there is always the possibility that she is short term and not looking for a relationship anyway.
She might also appreciate your honesty. She might not consider you as a long term thing but will jump you on the grounds that you wont be bugging her forever.
Girls are like that too!I am not qualified to give the above advice!
