Mushy peas came to me late in life; once I had moved back oop North to West Yorkshire.

It's one of those things that doesn't grow so well darn sarf, the mushy pea plant.

I'd just like to make it clear that I am not a pea-ist. Some of my best friends are peas. Just hate mushy ones.

I used to think that mushy peas must be alien vomit, then I got served some by mistake in a ClientCo canteen - delicious!! So the next time I had fish and chips in the same canteen I enthusiatically ordered mushy peas. They tasted like alien vomit.
