Sven Hassel's books changed my view on war.

I cannot recall in what order I read them.

But he did a good job of convincing me that war is worse than Hell.

i love those chance encounters on tpd. quite perfect.

digging back into my memory it was one where the character was ex soviet front and was about to fight in korea. probably a mid to late novel? i don't know anything about sven hassel other than that and the image of the covers his publishers gave his paperbacks.
