My all-time favourite Dilbert cartoon, this is: BTW, a Dumpster is a brand of skip, I think. -
There's Klingons on the starboard bow
Starboard bow, starboard bow.
There's Klingons on the starboard bow
Scrape them off, Jim!

Downloading Windows XP Service Pack 3 (KB936929) (update 1 of 1)...
I just realised I didn't have a virtual machine with IE 8 - only one with the Release Candidate. So I've cloned a brand new XP SP2 VM, and will now have to go through the whole Windows Update process
A brand new XP install starts up, runs, and shuts down beautifully fast. Then you install the updates and, even without any applications on there, it grinds down to a crawl again

It's life, Jim, but now as we know it.
Not as we know it, not as we know it.

Not as we know it, Captain.

We come in peace, shoot to kill.
Shoot to kill, shoot to kill.

Shoot to kill, men.

The Star Trekking song went something like that, anyway.
