Well hopefully that's one less thing on your mind, and a stress that will no longer be contributing to your high blood pressure.Where are we going? And what’s with this hand basket? -
They must do. They certainly are not paid well.Originally posted by voodooflux View PostYeah, there's an amazing amount of detail in the fluff - those chaps must really enjoy their work!Drivelling in TPD is not a mental health issue. We're just community blogging, that's all.

No, I see the Nepal & India events would not quite disguise a trip to London.Originally posted by DaveB View Post29th of May the lat time I looked. BCS have nothing on that day, I looked
Would a formal 'Contractor UK' branded 'IT Networking Event' with an agenda of:
- finances;
- professionalism;
- membership of trade bodies (e.g. PCG);
- obtaining and retaining work;
- state state of the industry;
- the position and future of the UK in the global IT industry;
- outsourcing and its impact upon the UK economy

It probably would, if I was still a contractor. Can't see them stumping up for one of their permies to spend the day in London netoworking and talking about how to get a new contractOriginally posted by BrowneIssue View PostNo, I see the Nepal & India events would not quite disguise a trip to London.

But then, if I was till a contractor I could probably afford to blow the travel costs and hotel bill myself

afternoon all
I trust everyone is well ?
I've made a MAJOR balls up in the latest release (code cut off yesterday), big bit of functionality missed out and the tester has made the whole team aware of what is missing
I might get some of it in by close of play today but it would be untested (again)

Pubs on other planets? Pah! Once you're outside Britain you've got to stick to the lager, really.Originally posted by voodooflux View PostAnd I don't have experience of pubs on other planets either.
I have NEVER had a decent real ale served me in any of the pubs I have been to off-planet. Not even the promise of "But we've got a guest ale on next week..."
I have NEVER had any beer server to me at anything like a sensible temperature in any bar I have been to off-planet, never mind the pubs.
And how many pubs are there in the CAMRA guide that are off-planet, eh? I'll tell you. Bugger all, that's how many.
Bloody aliens. They haven't a clue. Not a single Cask Marque amongst the entire universe* of them.
Even Zeity's had to come down here to get a decent supply of brains to experiment upon.
*Admittedly, I am making an assumption. I have yet to visit a pub outside the Mily Way, but I'm confident.Drivelling in TPD is not a mental health issue. We're just community blogging, that's all.
