Hmmmm....it seems the various jobs I had lined up for this w/end are most definitely out!!

I need to find new jobs that mainly involve sitting or lying down

        Worst thing you can do.

Keep moving, but gently & take it easy on the lifting.
try laying flat on your floor with you feet/legs up on the settee or chair when you rest. It does help; believe me.

Thanks Diver - That's what I am doing, keeping on the move but slowly and avoiding lifting the children.

'Take it easy on the lifting' - That's why my w/end jobs are out. Here's some of the list:

3 trees to cut down and remove, roots to be dug out.
New raised bed to be made from oak sleepers, fill with compost.
Replace kitchen sink with ceramic one.

Commiserations on the back, Bear - hope it sorts itself out soon

Isn't Scourer the one to talk to about bad backs? I think he's gone out for the day, though...

Well my back is still terrible - maybe Bear should ask me then do the opposite?
