    No direct - but it's my preferred method of negotiation. I talk to ClientCo, we agree - we both tell agency - we all avoid stupid agency mucking about.

          On one contract i did this - ClientCo and I discovered that the agency was taking the piss with a 26% margin. We decided what i should get and both told the agency to cut their margin.

          The client ended up paying 10% more, i ended up with a 35% increase and we both gave the agency a good kicking!

          Win Win!!
