Only five more days - I finish next Thursday

I thought I was looking forward to a rest after I spent eight months in a B&B in Bristol, but eleven months in a Premier Inn in London has got me utterly desperate to actually spend some time at home

Although of course there's the conferences down here the week after I finish... still, for the weekend one (being held in the offices here) I've booked myself into the 5 star hotel approximately 20 paces from the front entrance

Might be worth asking in Technical. Occasionally you do get some people that know what they are talking about in there.

If the machine would talk to the wireless network at the office, but not your one at home then I would keep plugging away with the connection settings.

Exactly in what way though I am not qualified to help. I normally just keep playing with each setting until I get something to work when I get trouble like that, but I don't really know what I am doing.
