Why can't these Unix types just write a sodding installer

I've seen them... there's one at NewClientCorp - great guy, but he actually likes to use a command line in preference to a GUI

I'd given up using command lines except when absolutely necessary by about 1988... and that's when I was still working exclusively in assembly language.

Ah well, each to their own
