My memory might not be too reliable on this because when I were a lad Colour TV had only just been introduced but we were so poor that we couldn't afford one and had to watch in black and white.Originally posted by cailin maith View PostWas that no bananas in pj's?

There were two families on our road with colour TVs... then one of them moved to a much bigger house in a much nicer area.Originally posted by Gonzo View PostMy memory might not be too reliable on this because when I were a lad Colour TV had only just been introduced but we were so poor that we couldn't afford one and had to watch in black and white.
We couldn't even get BBC 2 - that was on 625-line UHF, and our telly only did 405-line VHF
Mind, it had a wireless in it as well, so we could use it to listen to Two-Way Family Favourites on Sunday morning (there being no telly on Sunday mornings)

Right, I'm off.
Might devote some time this evening to thinking over my idea for a TPD Facebook widget... something you could put in your sidebar to keep an eye on TPD whilst apparently skiving on Facebook instead
Bye all

The originals were only recorded in black & white.
According to the legend, the original models are long since gone - there is no definitive record of the original colour. This was discovered when the decision to do colour versions was made.Drivelling in TPD is not a mental health issue. We're just community blogging, that's all.

Then why are you doing it? Removals people do it quickly and are insured. A couple of grand well spent, that is.Originally posted by DiscoStu View PostI hate packing
After all, anything that could damage your typing fingers or do your back in and keep you off work for 6 weeks, has got to be a risk not worth taking.Drivelling in TPD is not a mental health issue. We're just community blogging, that's all.
