I've not been to mine for ages..... gonna go tomorrow after work
I'm quite surprised how easily the weight's coming off at the moment, but I think that less I have to lose the more difficult it's going to get, so I should probably do some exercise.
I wish I'd never started smoking.
Then I wouldn't have had to stop smoking.
And replaced cigarettes with extra food.Putting on almost 3 stone in the process
I crammed sugar from the moment I stopped for about 5 months. I put on about 4 stone in the process.
Then my sense of taste started to return - I had not really been able to taste much except hot curry since I was 13 or 14.
So I 'discovered' food and developed a taste for better beer and put on another couple of stone or so.
I went from about 11 stone to 17½ stone in about 18 months after stopping.
Not exactly sure of timescales and weights but it was of that order.
Drivelling in TPD is not a mental health issue. We're just community blogging, that's all.
I might join a gym once I've moved. I haven't visited one regularly since uni
Neither have I, and that was 18 years ago.
And I don't intend to start now. You have to consider family history and one of my uncles died in his fifties of a heart attack after playing a game of squash. Given that background, the nearest I go to any sport is when it is on the TV.
