I was with it up until that last paragraph, and you've lost me.

The idea of him standing as a wannabe BNP candidate offends my political sensibilities - I get enough filth from the English Democrats, BNP and whatever other parties of their ilk at election time at home.

Shame he couldn't have just stood as an independent rather than polluting a worthwhile campaign with the other "policies" that they churn out.

I thought Garry Bushell (of the Sun fame) was their candidate for mayor, anyway?
